Crafts for kids are always fun. Can you believe that crafts for kids can be made from something as simple as a sock? Really, snowman ornament crafts for kids are that easy.

This adorable snowman Christmas ornament is a super idea for crafts for kids. All you need is a sock (preferably a new one), some pillow stuffing, a large colored pom-pom, some yarn or string, some glue (or thread for sewing) and a few little knick-knacks to decorate it with – a toothpick and either some buttons, beads or sequins for eyes and buttons.
This is one of my favorite crafts for kids because it is really so easy to make. You simply stuff the sock with pillow stuffing, fold down the top of the sock and glue the pom-pom in the top along with a string to hang it by. Tie some string onto the ornament to make the different sections of its body. Then, you can give it to the kiddos to decorate.
If you are doing crafts for kids that are old enough to sew with a needle and thread, you may want to give them buttons to decorate their snowman and let them sew them on. For younger kids, gluing on sequins or beads is the best idea. The toothpick nose can be colored with markers and stuck right into the sock with a little glue to hold it in place.
