Glittery Christmas Stars Make Perfectly Easy Crafts

These Fun Stars are Just the Beginning of Some Great and Easy Crafts to Start off the Christmas Decorating Season!

Sometimes you just find the perfect easy crafts to do with your kids, and these glittery stars are just that. They're fast, easy crafts, perfect for when you have half an hour to use up at the end of an evening or you just feel like getting in the Christmas spirit. They do require a bit of drying time, so don't expect to hang them right away, but the process itself is quick, easy, and doesn't involve a lot of clean-up.

What you need

All you need for these glittery stars are a few simple ingredients you probably have kicking around the house already:
-white glue
-glitter or sparkles
-plastic wrap
-painter's tape (or masking tape)
-any other decoration you might want to use -- beads, sparkles, etc.

What to do

Using painter's tape (masking tape works well too, but painter's tape is always safe), tape down the edges of a large piece of plastic wrap. Depending on how many of these easy crafts you hope to churn out, you might want to cover an entire table.

With white glue, draw a series of stars. You can make them all uniform or do some big, some small. Color in the shape with glue, and don't be stingy! While the glue is still wet, cover your star with glitter and press in any extra decorations you might want to use. Or, for a subtler, more mature look, lightly sprinkle it with clear glitter: you'll get a snowfall type effect.

Let the glue dry completely. This is where time becomes a factor. These might be easy crafts, but you also might have to sacrifice your dining room table for a day or two. If you want to hang the stars from a tree, wait until they're partially dry, then work a hole into them with a toothpick.

Once the stars dry, carefully peel them off the plastic wrap. They'll hold together quite nicely. You can use these easy crafts as decorations on your tree, to create a mobile in the Christmas spirit, or as window clings: they stick to glass very nicely, and peel off without leaving a mess. Whatever you decide, these easy crafts are sure to be a hit with adults and children alike!
