Directions
1. Use your acrylic paint with paintbrushes or fingers to create designs on the box. Trace hands, draw festive decorations, or create a pattern on the box (ie: stripes, polka dots, or swirls).
2. Embellish the box with scrapbook items such as stickers, decals, or miniature items. Finish it with the other additions -- like the beads or sequins. Use the glue to adhere the items to the box. You can find wooden letters and paint them to match your box. Spell words like, "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays."
3. If the box is made for a specific person, spell their name in stickers, paint or scrapbook paper. Also use the wooden letters mentioned in the previous step to spell a recipient's name or initials.
4. Line your box with wax or parchment paper before filling it with goodies. If you have a variety of goodies, put each item in a separate plastic bag, and fill the box with your goody bags. This protects the food from any contamination from chemicals in the box or paint.
