Krafty Kris’s Native American style Christmas ornaments…
Native American crafts, to be authentic, naturally have to be made by Native Americans. But, using some basic supplies you can make Native American crafts that are really attractive.

The Native American crafts project displayed is a Christmas ornament made from a gourd. Though it wasn’t made by a Native American, it can be classified as Native American crafts because Native Americans are well known for using things, such as gourds, that are provided in nature.
In fact, gourds make a rattling sound when you shake them. So, they have historically been used as Native American musical instruments.
To make these Native American crafts, Christmas ornament gourds, you make a hole through the top of a dried gourd using a sharp object and thread a ribbon through it. The ribbon will be used to hang the ornament.
Then, you create a design on the gourd using either paints or markers. True Native American crafts usually use Indian themed designs on the gourd such as the kokopelli flute player or pueblos though you can really put any kind of design on the gourd.
