Of all the inexpensive Christmas crafts out there, this one just might be the easiest, and it lends a festive flare to any table. Of course, everyone wants inexpensive Christmas crafts to complete with the kids, and this one fits the bill. The key to these inexpensive Christmas crafts is a simple paper towel tube. Cut it into pieces and you get napkin rings. But to keep them from looking like, well, paper towel tubes, we're going to pretty them up a bit!

Paper towel tubes (any color, but if it's not white you'll probably have to paint it)

Make It!
It couldn't be simpler to make these inexpensive Christmas crafts. To begin with, take the scissors and cut the tube into pieces that are between 1 and 2 inches wide (you'll get about six out of one tube). Don't worry about bending the tube; if you cut quickly enough, it'll pop back into shape.
Now that you have your tubes, it's time to decorate them, and this is where you can really go wild! If you're doing this craft with the kids, turn them loose with markers and paint and have them decorate a personalized place setting for your guests. If you want a slightly classier look, these inexpensive Christmas crafts won't disappoint! Paint the entire surface (inside and out) in a bright, sparkly color (gold, red, or whatever matches your table setting).
Once the paint dries, decorate them however you like. A simple but elegant look is to use a calligraphy pen and label the rings with your guests' names, or write a Christmas message.
