Super Easy Christmas Craft Projects

Christmas Crafts that Your Kids Can Do while You Prepare Your Home for Christmas

I’ve got a great and easy Christmas craft project for the kids in your life. This project is a new take and an old favorite craft project. Remember making macaroni masterpieces as a child. You would take a paper plate and glue various shapes of dry pasta to it to create a work of art. Well, for this project you are going to replicate that craft project of your childhood, but first you are going to paint the pasta in Christmas colors.

The Best of Both Worlds: Inexpensive and Easy

The great thing about this Christmas craft project is that it is super easy and doesn’t cost a lot. Buy the cheapest pasta you can find for this project. Acrylic paint is about 50 cents for a small bottle, and you only need two bottles: red and green. Another benefit of this project is that your kids can work on it while you are busy preparing for Christmas. Paint the pasta one day, and the next day your kids can glue the pasta on a paper plate. The great thing about this project is that there is no right or wrong way to do it. You can create any design at all with the pasta shapes, and you are only limited by your imagination.

Buy dry pasta in various shapes. Elbow pasta and bow ties are two great choices. Tube-shaped pasta such as rigatoni and rotini are also good choices for this Christmas craft project.

Even Easier

If you don’t want to fuss with a painting project because you are extremely busy with Christmas approaching, then a project using mainly construction project might be the right choice. Precut Christmas trees out of green construction paper or have your kids do it. Then have them glue on colored construction paper to mimic decorations, lights, and Christmas balls. You can even make your tree 3-dimensional if you have any craft supplies such as mini pompoms, which will pass for Christmas balls.
