Try This Napkin Holder Christmas Centerpiece Idea!

You can make this easy Christmas centerpiece idea out of pony beads, straws, and a little creativity.

Napkin holders are one of the easiest, most attractive Christmas centerpiece ideas to make. This cute napkin holder whips up quickly and looks like it took a lot longer than it did. It's great for older kids and adults (younger children will likely find it a bit frustrating). You can make a handful as gifts, put them on your living room tables, or just use them as Christmas centerpiece ideas!

Materials

You will need:

-white, red, and green pony beads
-Plastic drinking straws
-Christmas wrapping paper (shiny is best)
-A thick piece of cardboard
-Scissors
-A hot glue gun
-White glue

Make It!

Begin by cutting a piece of cardboard that you will use as the base for these Christmas centerpiece ideas. Make it long enough that you can easily fit fifteen pony beads across it with space left over and at least two inches wide. Cover the cardboard in shiny wrapping paper. Glue it on, don't just tape it, and let the glue dry before you move on!

Next, hot glue fifteen white beads across each side of the base, leaving no spaces in between. Let them dry completely.

Squeeze a bit of white glue into each bead. Chop the drinking straws in half and insert half a drinking straw into each bead. Let them dry completely.

Next, follow the pattern below to add beads to the drinking straw "poles." Before adding each bead, squeeze a drop of white glue into it. Blank spaces indicate white beads, "G" indicates green, and "R" indicates red. You should wind up with a beaded square fifteen beads across and fifteen beads high with a picture of a present in its center.

At this point you should have two beaded decorations on either side of your cardboard base. Once they're completely dry, trim any extra straw that may be sticking out on top, fold some festive napkins, and enjoy these Christmas centerpiece ideas!
